Editorial and Publishing Process

All manuscripts submitted for publication in our journal will undergo rigorous peer review, based on an initial editor screening and then a blind review process by at least two anonymous referees. The referees are usually chosen from either the Editorial Board, or the Reviewing Panel. Typically, the editor will seek referees feedback before considering your submission for publication. In that case, the editor will wait until he/she receives all reviewer comments on your submission. The editor will then email you directly with a decision.

Publication language is English. Effective use of language is an important criterion for acceptance. Another criterion is the detailed explanation of the research methodology.

All manuscripts should be sent electronically via the journal’s official Online Manuscript Center (click here to reach ). In order to send a manuscript, authors should be register through the web site. Then, the manuscript should be uploaded. All manuscript should follow the ethic codes for research and publishing. If a manuscript is found to be breaking the ethical codes after published in JOQRE, it will be discarded.

Workflow

Article Evaluation Process

Stage I: The articles uploaded by the authors to the system are assigned to the appropriate field editor by the editor-in-chief, taking into account of the subject area and method of the article (qualitative research and mixed method research). Ethics committee permission is requested from the author, if necessary, for studies carried out with data collection tools.

Stage II: At the end of the initial review process, the section editor can request revisions from the authors if necessary before s/he submits the article for review process. The article, which is found to be appropriate to be submitted for double blind review is sent to two referees based on their expertise in subject and methodology.

Stage III: After the review process, the referees can report the revisions they demand on the posted manuscript.  In addition to this, referees can provide feedback to authors through referee review form. At this stage, the referees can ask for a second-round review of the article.

Stage IV: The field editor might require revisions from the authors by submitting the feedback of referees.  The articles that are revised based on the feedback of the referees are re-submitted to the same referees for the second-round review.

Stage V: In cases where second-round review is not deemed necessary, then articles are reviewed again by the field editor. The final version of the article is reviewed through either Turnitin or iThenticate programs and a plagiarism report is obtained. In this way, it is proceeded to "Copy Editing" and then "Printing" steps. At this stage, the field editor and technical editors correspond with the author via the system. After the necessary author information is added and the final checks are made on the manuscript, the articles are sent to publication process.
